Be one of 75,000 people to take part in the upcoming 26th Anniversary of CA Coastal Cleanup Day! Volunteers will remove debris from the coast, creeks, rivers, lakes and shorelines all around CA protecting wildlife from harm while taking care of our environment.

The Facts!

  • The1993 Guinness Book of World Records recognized CA Coastal Cleanup Day as the world's largest beach cleanup.
  • On September 20, 2008 73,461 volunteers cleaned up 1,658,819 pounds of debris from our beaches and inland waterways.

  • Volunteers - 3,470
  • Trash - 17,181 pounds
  • Recyclables - 5,926 pounds
  • Distance Cleaned - 59.2 miles
